FBI Lists India-Born Manjit Singh Bedi Among Most Wanted Fraudsters
The U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has added Manjit Singh Bedi, an India-born U.S. citizen, to its list of most-wanted fraudsters. Bedi is accused of defrauding the U.S. government of at least $600,000 through fraud involving Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Programme (SNAP) benefits. He allegedly operated a small grocery store in Tacoma, Washington, named Asian Grocery Store, where he exchanged customers' government benefits cards for cash instead of providing food. The alleged scheme is reported to have operated from March 2024 until June 2025. Following criminal charges, Bedi reportedly fled the U.S. to Canada and then to India. The FBI has offered a reward of $150,000 for information leading to his arrest.
