The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) successfully launched its heaviest satellite, EOS-05, aboard the GSLV-F17 rocket from Sriharikota. This marks India's first imaging satellite designed to observe Earth from geosynchronous orbit, approximately 36,000 km above the planet. The launch is described as a significant stride in India's space capabilities and a boost to its real-time space surveillance. Prime Minister Modi and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh hailed the successful mission.
