HD Hyundai Shipyard Location Debate: Tamil Nadu vs. Andhra Pradesh
A delegation from South Korean shipbuilding company HD Hyundai Heavy Industries visited Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, to discuss potential shipyard plans. However, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is reportedly attempting to persuade HD Hyundai to establish its shipyard in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, instead. This move by Naidu is seen as leveraging his position as an NDA partner at the Centre to attract the investment to his state.
