Gold and Silver Prices Decline on MCX Ahead of US Payrolls Data
Gold and silver prices saw a decline on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) on Friday, September 4th, following a recent rally. MCX gold October futures fell by 0.47% to ₹1,55,041 per 10 grams, and MCX silver December contracts dropped by 0.48% to ₹2,41,189 per kg. This dip occurred on the occasion of Krishna Janmashtami. Investors are now focused on the upcoming US payrolls data, which could influence Federal Reserve interest rate decisions. Geopolitical concerns in the Middle East are also noted as a significant market factor. Some reports indicate a substantial drop in silver prices over the past seven months, following a significant year-on-year rally.
