Multiple Indian Chief Ministers Announce Development Projects and Address Issues
Several Indian Chief Ministers were reported to be active in their states. Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis stated that Mumbai's growth should drive growth for the entire state. In Jammu and Kashmir, CM Omar Abdullah met with protesting medical interns regarding a stipend dispute and also laid the foundation for development works at Kashmir Government Polytechnic. He also emphasized that urban growth must be balanced with environmental protection. Separately, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath laid the foundation stones for 229 development projects valued at Rs 1,051 crore. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was quoted as saying India's economic growth provides confidence to the world.
