Traffic Diversions Implemented Across Delhi-NCR for Janmashtami Celebrations
Authorities in Delhi, Noida, and Mathura have implemented traffic diversions and restrictions to manage celebrations for the Janmashtami festival. In Delhi, several routes will be restricted for vehicular movement due to Janmashtami processions. Noida has announced traffic diversions, particularly around the ISKCON temple, and will have drone surveillance and over 2,500 police personnel deployed near more than 200 temples. Mathura will see restrictions on heavy vehicles until September 5th morning, with key routes in the Janmabhoomi area also closed to traffic. Some cities are also imposing vehicle entry bans in specific areas after 5 PM for the festivities.
