Bengaluru Bans Two-Wheelers on Airport and Electronics City Flyovers
Bengaluru traffic police have banned two-wheelers from the Electronics City elevated corridor starting September 11 and the KIA Road elevated corridor from September 4. This decision follows 41 deaths involving two-wheelers on these routes over the past 19 months. The ban on the KIA Road flyover will apply from Sanjeevininagar Cross to Vidyashilpa Junction. Motorists have expressed confusion and unhappiness over the new traffic curbs, with some taking to the roads for what they termed 'one last ride' before the restrictions take effect.
