Bengaluru Installs Over 1,400 Rainwater Harvesting Pits
The Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Layout in Bengaluru has seen the installation of 1,441 rainwater harvesting pits. These structures are designed to recharge groundwater by collecting rainwater. It is estimated that these pits will help recharge approximately 18.45 crore liters of rainwater annually. The initiative aims to address water scarcity and improve groundwater levels in the area.
