Andhra Pradesh to Sell Onions at Subsidized Rate Amid Price Rise
The Andhra Pradesh government has formed a cabinet sub-committee to address rising prices of essential commodities including onions, tur dal, and palm oil. The committee has ordered the procurement of 10,000 metric tonnes of KNM rice from Nellore rice millers for sale at affordable prices through special counters. Additionally, the government announced plans to sell onions at ₹35 per kilogram with support from the National Cooperative Consumers' Federation (NCCF).
