Karnataka Cabinet Approves Land Sites for BMIC-Affected Farmers
The Karnataka Cabinet has approved the allotment of land sites to 1,453 farmers affected by the Bangalore-Mysore Infrastructure Corridor (BMIC) project. This decision follows pressure from the Supreme Court, which had set a deadline. The government has given the project developer, NICE, a two-month deadline to complete the allotment. Separately, officials in Karnataka are reviewing forms related to the Scheme for Industrial Relief (SIR), aiming to reduce the number of notices issued. As of the latest reports, over 43.81 lakh SIR notices have been generated, with 7.31 lakh delivered.
