Developer's Secret Recordings Alleging Influence Over Premier Played at Inquiry
Secret phone recordings played at the New South Wales corruption watchdog suggest fugitive property developer Jean Nassif boasted about his influence over political figures. In one recording, Nassif allegedly referred to former Premier Dominic Perrottet as his 'boy' and discussed 'reshuffling the government'. Former Premier Charles Perrottet testified at the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) hearing, denying claims that he had promised to appoint a cabinet minister in exchange for Nassif's support. The recordings were presented as part of ICAC's Operation Rosny.
