Spanish PM Denies Morocco Orchestrated Ceuta Border Surge
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez stated there is no concrete evidence that Morocco orchestrated the surge of migrants into the Spanish enclave of Ceuta. He made these remarks following a significant influx of thousands of irregular migrants. However, a Spanish EPP MEP, Antonio López-Istúriz, criticized the Spanish government, calling it 'weak' and suggesting it should have acted sooner on prior warnings from national police and intelligence services about the impending migrant movement.
