Youth Cleans Polluted River Independently, Gains Recognition
A 20-year-old man, Surendra Singh Choudhary, independently cleaned the polluted Ajnar River in Madhya Pradesh. He began the effort without waiting for government assistance or official campaigns, taking necessary supplies to the river alone. Before-and-after images of his work have gone viral, drawing praise from industrialist Anand Mahindra. The initiative addresses the growing pollution of the Ajnar River, which had become a dumping ground for waste.
