Abhinandan Varthaman Joins Civil Aviation Sector as Commercial Pilot
Group Captain Abhinandan Varthaman (Retd), who was awarded the Vir Chakra for shooting down a Pakistani F-16 during the 2019 Balakot operations, has joined the civil aviation sector. He will be working as a commercial pilot with a private airline. Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu welcomed Varthaman's transition, stating it marks a new chapter from guarding India's skies to connecting its people.
