Former bureaucrat questioned by Delhi Police over social media post
Former bureaucrat Ashish Joshi was interrogated by Delhi Police regarding a social media post. Joshi stated that the police did not provide him with a copy of the First Information Report (FIR) related to the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita law. He also claimed he was not allowed to contact his family during the detention, which occurred during his morning walk. Joshi questioned whether the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would face similar action for alleged provocation. The police stated that providing an FIR copy was not necessary at this stage.
