CBI searches 89 locations across 20 states in digital arrest crackdown
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducted searches at 89 locations across 20 states as part of 'Operation Chakra-VI'. The operation targets syndicates involved in 'digital arrest' fraud. Three people have been detained in connection with the crackdown. The searches aim to identify the handlers and beneficiaries of the syndicates and trace the proceeds of the fraud. In three specific cases related to this activity, over 41 crore rupees were defrauded.
