Nepal Floods: Over 1,200 Dead, Hundreds of Indians Missing, Tunnel Rescues
Flash floods in Nepal have resulted in at least 1,295 confirmed deaths, with authorities reporting over 5,000 people still missing. Among the missing are 275 Indian nationals, though 169 have been rescued. In a separate development, two workers were rescued alive from a hydropower tunnel ten days after the floods. The rescue operation at the Trishuli 3A Hydropower Project involved pulling the workers from the tunnel where they had been trapped.
