RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat's UK Visit Faces Protests and Support
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat visited London as part of a global outreach campaign for the organization's centenary. During his visit, Bhagwat met with various religious and community leaders, including Ambedkar, who stated that 310 social organizations support the RSS. Bhagwat conveyed a message of 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam' (the world is one family). However, Bhagwat's program in London also faced opposition, with some UK-based organizations writing to the London Mayor and the UK Foreign Ministry to protest the event. These groups described the RSS as a 'dictatorial' and 'fascist' organization and appealed to stop the program. The RSS stated that 310 social organizations have lent their support to the visit.
