FIR filed over 'purification' ritual after Congress leader's rally in Uttarakhand
A zero First Information Report (FIR) has been filed in Bengaluru against leaders of the Uttarakhand BJP concerning a ritualistic cleansing, described as 'Shuddhikaran', performed at a ground in Haldwani. This ritual allegedly took place two days after Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge addressed a public rally at the same location. The FIR was registered based on a complaint by T.R. Ramappa, former vice-chairman of the AICC's Scheduled Tribes Department.
