Explosion at Bolivia Military Base Kills at Least 10
An explosion occurred on Friday at a military base in Viacha, Bolivia, resulting in at least 10 deaths and dozens of injuries. Viacha health director Rita Nebraska reported to local television that between 10 and 15 people are believed to have died, while injury counts range from 58 to 62. Authorities stated the blast originated in the defense ministry's fireworks and pyrotechnic material stockpile. Seven people remain missing, and dozens of homes were damaged. Officials have warned the public to stay at least 150 meters away from the barracks due to the risk of further explosions.
