Floods Affect 16 Districts in Bihar Disrupting Road and Rail Transport
Floods in Bihar have affected 16 districts, impacting approximately 28 lakh people and disrupting traffic on over 200 roads. In the Patna-Gaya rail section, the Punpun river's water reached bridge number 21, leading to the closure of the down line and the cancellation of four MEMU trains. In Katihar, floodwaters have also disrupted rail services. In Maner, four people were buried under a collapsed house. Additionally, water flow over a culvert on the Mirchni river in Banka's Dhoraiya block and rising waters on NH-19 have hindered movement.
