Car electronics cost to reach 50% by 2030: Report
A report by Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA) forecasts that electronics will constitute 50-55% of the total cost of a car by 2030. In fiscal year 2025, the electricals and electronics segment represented approximately 12% of the component supply for vehicles. This projection indicates a significant opportunity for domestic Indian suppliers to develop capabilities in this area, potentially leading to increased localization.
