Bengal CM Vows Transparent Teacher Recruitment, Announces School Initiatives
West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari has pledged to conduct teacher recruitment in a transparent manner, stating that selections will be based on merit. The government plans to publish recruitment details online and move away from SMS-based notifications to prevent manipulation and irregularities. In parallel, Adhikari announced that every district in West Bengal will have two 'CM Shri' schools. He also stated that the contributions of Syama Prasad Mookerjee and Swami Pranabananda will be introduced into the school curriculum. Additionally, Rs 300 crore in school grants were announced.
