Bayeux Tapestry Suffers Minor Damage During UK Transit
The Bayeux Tapestry sustained minor damage, with two threads torn, during its transit from France to London for an upcoming exhibition. The historical artifact, which is over 1,000 years old, is on loan from France for its first public display in the UK in 20 years. The damage occurred while the tapestry was being transported. It is scheduled to be displayed at the British Museum.
