Two rescued alive 10 days after Nepal floods; China tightens information grip
Rescuers in Nepal pulled a Chinese national and a woman alive from separate locations on Saturday, 10 days after devastating flash floods hit the country. The Chinese national was rescued from a hydropower tunnel. Authorities continued searching for thousands of people still missing following the floods. Fewer than 10% of recovered bodies have been formally identified, leading some relatives to hold cremations without bodies. China has reportedly exerted a tight grip on information regarding the floods along its border with Nepal.
