Rajasthan Civic Polls: Symbol Disputes and Unopposed Wins Reported

In Rajasthan's civic body elections, several candidates were allotted the 'slipper' symbol, leading to significant disturbances that required police intervention. Separately, results show 77 candidates have won councilor seats. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) secured 44 seats, while the Indian National Congress (INC) won 16. In some wards, candidates won unopposed as their rivals did not contest. Some reports indicate that rebel candidates from major parties challenged the BJP and Congress.
