Gauri Lankesh and M.M. Kalburgi murder trials remain unresolved after years
This week marked the death anniversaries of journalist Gauri Lankesh and scholar M.M. Kalburgi. Lankesh was shot dead in September 2017 and Kalburgi was assassinated in August 2015. The Hindu reports that chargesheets in both cases were filed eight years ago and the trials have continued without a verdict. The Pioneer notes that nine years have passed since Lankesh’s murder and no verdict has been delivered.
