Woman Gives Birth in Police Station While Dispute is Mediated
A woman gave birth to a child inside the Subheha police station in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh, while police were mediating a dispute between her and her husband. The couple had arrived at the station to resolve their marital conflict. During the mediation, the woman experienced labor pains and delivered the baby. The husband expressed surprise at the delivery, which occurred about six weeks after their marriage, and alleged a prior love affair for his wife. The woman stated that her in-laws were aware of her pregnancy before the marriage.
