Delhi University Faces Severe Hostel Shortage for Students
Delhi University (DU) is experiencing a significant shortage of hostel accommodation for its students. Out of over 7 lakh students enrolled, only approximately 7,000 are provided with hostel facilities. This scarcity forces the majority of students to seek alternative housing such as paying guest (PG) accommodations or rented flats. Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) and IIT Delhi also face similar hostel shortages.
