Youth killed in traffic collision involving Tamil Nadu minister's car near Chennai
On Monday 7 September 2026, a two-wheeler rider was killed after being struck by a car linked to Tamil Nadu minister Jagadeeswari near Chennai. The accident occurred on the Trichy‑Chennai National Highway at Kattankulathur. The victim, identified as Iraiyanbu, was riding a Honda two-wheeler and was reported as 26 years old (some reports gave 28). Police said the driver of the minister's car, Chinna Agni from Madurai, was arrested on charges of negligent driving. The minister was traveling in a government vehicle that was preceded by an escort vehicle and followed by her personal car, which authorities allege hit the two-wheeler.
