Villagers Carry Pregnant Woman 13km Through Rivers to Hospital
In Chhindwara district, Madhya Pradesh, a 22-year-old woman in labor experienced severe abdominal pain for six hours. Due to the lack of a road in Piprahi village, her family used a makeshift stretcher made of a sari and poles to carry her. They traversed 13 kilometers, crossing three overflowing rivers and dense forest, to reach a hospital. The journey took six hours.
