West Bengal BJP Govt Cancels Durga Puja Carnival, Plans Drone Show
The West Bengal government, led by the BJP, has cancelled the Durga Puja carnival previously held on Kolkata's Red Road. The government plans to replace the carnival with a drone and fireworks display. One report also indicated that the government rejected a call to make the Durga Puja celebrations vegetarian, a suggestion reportedly made by Baba Bageshwar.
