Germany asks UN court to dismiss Nicaragua's case on Israel arms exports
Germany has asked the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to dismiss Nicaragua's case accusing it of complicity in genocide in Gaza through arms exports to Israel. Germany argues that it is not violating the Genocide Convention and that the case is not plausible. Meanwhile, Volkswagen has agreed to a deal with Aurelius Capital to convert a former car plant in Germany into a facility for producing air defense systems, including components for Israel's Iron Dome. Rafael, an Israeli defense firm, is also involved in the project. The plant is located in Lower Saxony, Germany.
