Building Collapse Kills Seven in Delhi; Owner and Officials Face Action
A multi-story building collapsed in Delhi's Satya Niketan area, resulting in seven deaths and five injuries. Following the incident, Delhi Police arrested the building owner, Hariram, his wife, and son. The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) suspended five officials, including a zonal deputy commissioner. The building owner and his wife have been sent to 14 days of judicial custody, while their son was placed in two days of police custody. Rescue operations concluded 27 hours after the collapse.
