Delhi students face unsafe living and commuting conditions
A study has highlighted significant safety concerns for students in Delhi, particularly regarding their living conditions and daily commutes. Many students reside in cramped, poorly ventilated rooms in educational hubs like Laxmi Nagar and Mukherjee Nagar, often paying high rents for proximity to colleges and coaching centers. The study also found that a substantial majority of students, 65%, reportedly cross busy roads alone during their commute, raising alarms about their safety. These issues collectively pose serious challenges to student well-being in the capital.
