China Imposes Anti-Dumping Duties on Japanese Chipmaking Chemical
China has begun charging anti-dumping fees on dichlorosilane, a chemical crucial for chip manufacturing, imported from Japan. The Ministry of Commerce announced a preliminary ruling imposing provisional duties of up to 99.2% on these imports. This decision follows an eight-month investigation that concluded dumped imports had harmed Chinese local manufacturers. Companies importing Japanese dichlorosilane are now required to provide cash deposits of up to 99.2% starting Tuesday.
