UN Report: Delhi Air Quality Can Improve 20% by 2040
Delhi's air quality could improve by 20% by 2040 if the city meets established air quality standards on time, according to a UN report. The report suggests that implementing clean air measures can lead to a significant reduction in PM2.5 exposure. In parallel, plans are underway to expand Delhi-NCR's air quality monitoring network, with 55 new stations to be installed by the end of the year, bringing the total to 157. This expansion aims for at least one monitoring station per 25 square kilometers across Delhi and surrounding NCR cities like Ghaziabad, Noida, Greater Noida, Faridabad, and Sonepat.
