Pakistan warns Houthi attack on Saudi Arabia could trigger defense pact
Pakistan issued a warning on Tuesday that its newly formed defense alliance with Saudi Arabia and Turkiye could be activated if Houthi attacks in Yemen spill into Saudi territory. Pakistan stated there should be "no ambiguity" that an attack on any of the three member nations would be considered an attack on all. The Houthis launched attacks on Saudi Arabia, setting fire to oil sites and wounding 73 people. India has condemned the Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia. One report suggested a call for the U.S. government to "crush" the Iran-backed rebels.
