Indian stock markets fall amid rising oil prices
Indian stock markets experienced a significant downturn, with the benchmark Sensex falling below 75,000 points and the Nifty dropping below 23,500. The decline was attributed to rising crude oil prices, which are nearing $100 per barrel. In early trading, investors lost approximately ₹2 lakh crore. Out of the 30 Sensex stocks, 20 saw a decline, while 10 advanced. Notably, IT stocks like Infosys fell by 4%.
