UIDAI Introduces Face Authentication for Aadhaar Services
The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has launched new face authentication tools and a software development kit (SDK). These tools are designed to allow residents to use face authentication for Aadhaar-enabled services, including for those living overseas. The technology aims to facilitate multi-factor authentication for banks and fintech companies. UIDAI Chairman stated that Aadhaar faces hundreds of cyber threats daily, highlighting the need for enhanced security measures.
