Sri Lankan President Assures India on Security Concerns
Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe assured India that his country's soil would not be used for activities inimical to India's security interests. He conveyed this assurance to Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh during a meeting. Singh stated that India will continue to stand "shoulder-to-shoulder" with Sri Lanka and described the bilateral ties as "relational". The meeting occurred during Wickremesinghe's visit to India.
