Delhi MCD Demolishes, Seals Buildings After Satya Niketan Collapse
Following a building collapse in Satya Niketan, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has taken action against unauthorized constructions. The MCD suspended three engineers for negligence and carried out 34 demolitions, sealing 17 properties across Delhi. In a broader crackdown, the MCD razed 41 buildings and sealed 61 illegal constructions. The actions followed a tragedy in Satya Niketan, with the MCD bringing down the hammer on dangerous buildings in the city.
