Tarun Tejpal surrenders to Goa court after rape conviction
Journalist Tarun Tejpal surrendered before a Goa court on Friday following his conviction in a 2013 rape case. The Supreme Court is scheduled to hear his appeal against the conviction. Tejpal was convicted by a Goa court on April 27, 2023, for sexually assaulting a former colleague in a lift at a hotel in Panaji in November 2013. He was the founder of the Tehelka magazine.
