Varun Chakaravarthy ruled out of Afghanistan T20I series

All-rounder Varun Chakaravarthy has been ruled out of the remaining matches in India's T20I series against Afghanistan due to a recurrence of a hamstring injury. The injury follows a recent recovery that had kept him out of England's white-ball matches in July. In the first T20I of the series, the 35-year-old bowled four overs, conceding 16 runs and taking one wicket. Team officials confirmed his unavailability for the rest of the series. Media described his exclusion as a setback for India's spin attack.
