BJP Leads in Rajasthan Civic Polls; Independents and AAP Also Secure Wins
In Rajasthan's civic body elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has emerged as the leading party, securing 3,587 wards according to one report, and 3,688 wards according to another. Independents collectively won 2,039 wards. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) secured a majority in the Baran Municipal Council, and the Communist Party of India (Marxist) is set to form the board in Bikaner's Nokha Municipality. The results indicate a close contest, with the BJP slightly ahead of the Indian National Congress.
