Syria sees widespread protests over fuel price hikes
Syria experienced widespread protests across at least six provinces due to a 25-40% increase in fuel prices. Demonstrators blocked oil tanker routes and roads on the second consecutive day of unrest. More than 50 members of parliament signed a demand to question the energy minister regarding the price hike.
