Congress Leaders Detained During Punjab Protest Over Villager's Death
Congress leaders, including Sachin Pilot, Partap Bajwa, and Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, were detained by police in Punjab during a protest demanding an independent investigation into the death of a villager, identified as Gulzar Singh. The protest, which also saw former Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi join, faced water cannons from the police. The demonstration was held against Punjab Minister Harpal Cheema. The Congress leaders sought a probe into the incident.
