Kerala Faces Power Crisis, Seeks Supreme Court Intervention
Kerala is experiencing a significant power crisis, with reports indicating daily power cuts. The Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) has secured an additional 300 MW of power, which is expected to reduce power cuts to once a day. The state government has also sought an urgent hearing from the Supreme Court, claiming a loss of Rs 12,570 crore due to the crisis. Himachal Pradesh has agreed to supply 250 MW of electricity following intervention from MP KC Venugopal. The crisis has reportedly put pressure on the state government.
