UP Cabinet Approves Ethanol Plant, NSG Centre, Agniveer Quota
The Uttar Pradesh Cabinet approved the establishment of an ethanol production unit at the Chhata sugar mill in Mathura, which had been closed. Additionally, 65 acres of land were cleared for a regional National Security Guard (NSG) centre in Ayodhya, intended to bolster security and rapid response capabilities. The Cabinet also sanctioned a 20% horizontal reservation in direct recruitment for Jail Warder and Enforcement Constable posts in the Transport Department for former Agniveers, offering them a three-year age relaxation.
