New Zealand Parliament Approves Free Trade Agreement with India
New Zealand's parliament has approved a free trade agreement with India. The deal will eliminate tariffs on 95% of New Zealand's exports to India, with most becoming duty-free immediately upon implementation. All Indian goods will receive duty-free access to New Zealand. The agreement is set to take effect after both nations complete their respective ratification procedures. One outlet reported Wellington has also agreed to invest $20 billion in India over the next 15 years.
